Vivo X100 Pro launch date in IndiaVivo has announced the launch date of its highly anticipated smartphone Series - Vivo X100. The Series will consist of two smartphones - Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro. These smartphones are already available in China. The company has confirmed that the  Vivo X100 Series will be launched on January 4.

Display

The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch screen with an 8T LTPO AMOLED display, and a refresh rate that can go as low as 1Hz and as high as 120Hz. What this will do is give you a better viewing experience by automatically adjusting the refresh rate of the display according to the content you are consuming, and by also optimising the battery usage so that you don’t unnecessarily lose power due to a high refresh rate display. Further, the display will have brightness that can go up to 3,000 nits.

camera

Since we are talking about cameras, let's move to the rear camera module on the X100 series, which is also the highlight of the smartphones. While both the phones offer a triple-camera setup, the offerings and camera features vary slightly between the two models. The X100 Pro features a 50MP main camera and a special periscope zoom camera. This zoom camera has a 100mm lens in front of a 50MP sensor, which is unique and has received Zeiss APO certification. Additionally, it has a 50MP ultrawide lens and uses Vivo's latest 6nm V3 imaging chip for improved photography. The Vivo X100, on the other hand, includes a 50MP wide-angle lens, a 70mm zoom lens with a 64MP sensor, and the same 15mm ultrawide lens as the X100 Pro. However, it uses the V2 imaging chip from last year.

Battery

For fuel, the X100 features a 5,000 mAh battery, whereas the X100 Pro features a 5,400 mAh battery. Interestingly, though, the X100 offers support for up to 120 W fast charging, but the X100 Pro only supports fast charging up to 100 W, despite being the Pro device and featuring a bigger battery. We will reveal the reason for this in our review of the Vivo X100 Pro.

storage

We already know that the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. However, the RAM and storage offerings will vary between the two models. While the X100 will come in two variants, one with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and the other with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, the X100 Pro will be available in a single variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
